Safaris in Mana Pools National Park
These tours operate in the World Heritage
site of Mana Pools National Park where the mighty Zambezi River provides
the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Mana Pools National Park is
a flood plain area in the Zambezi Valley where an abundance of African
game can be found. The river flows gently through this area, providing
small channels of water ideal for canoeists to view game and birds at
close range.we offer specialised canoe and walking trips for small groups
of guests to get as close to game and birds as possible, undisturbed
in their natural habitat. Canoeing is downstream, leisurely, with approximately
10-15 kilometers covered during the day. Mana Pools National Park is
only accessible during the dry season, starting April and ending November.
A limited number of visitors are allowed in the Park. May, June and
July are excellent months for birding and have cooler temperatures,
ranging from 8 degrees at night to 22 degrees Celsius at midday. August
through November are best for game viewing and temperatures range from
14 degrees Celsius at night to 35 degrees at midday. October provides
extremely good game viewing, particularly along the shoreline, but midday
temperatures may reach 35 degrees Celsius.
Mana pools is accessible by light aircraft
