Day
1 - Ketchikan Embark on Your Adventure
Welcome aboard! Meet your crew, get settled in, and keep watch for eagles
as we cruise through the Tongass Narrows out of Ketchikan.
Day 2 - Tongass National Forest / El
Capitan Passage / Devilfish Bay
Wake in El Capitan Passage surrounded by breathtaking Tongass National
Forestthe largest national forest in the US. Take a wild
Alaska hike winding through high forest on an old logging trail. Trek
up to El Capitan Cave, where 400,000-year-old bones have been found. Embark
on a 4-mile paddle around the scenic Devilfish Bay. And cap off your day
noshing on locally harvested oysters as a resident family tells of life
in the Alaskan outback.
Activities
Devilfish Cove Kayaking - Level 2. Work your arms with a guided, scenic
4-mile roundtrip kayak tour to the end of Devilfish Cove or take one of
the kayaks available all day and explore the area on your own. (included)
Logging Trail Hike - - Level 2 Breathe in
the fresh Alaskan air as you make your way up an old logging trail through
the Tongass Forest on the northern side of the entrance to Devilfish Bay.
In addition to breathtaking vistas of wild Alaska, we often
see eagles and Sitka blacktail deer along the way. (included)
El Capitan Skiff Tours and Cave Adventure
- Level 2 . Choose from four departure times throughout the day to explore
the largest known cave in North america: El Capitan Cave. Here, the discovery
of ice-age bear, seal, fox, and caribou bones dating as far back as 400,000
years ago contradict the common belief that glaciers and sea ice once
buried the area. Your guide will take you as far as 2 miles into the inner
depths of the caves intricate interior El Capitan skiff tours and
cave adventure. (included)
El Capitan Fishing Excursion by Charter Boat
- Level 1 Make that dream a reality in great waters ripe with salmon.
Take on wilderness waters with a full day fishing excursion to "lost"
fishing holes. minimum 4 guests. ( $200 per person)
Day
3 - Klawock Native Village
Discover living history in Klawockone of the most authentic Tlingit
villages in Alaska. Learn the importance of carving, gaze up at totem
poles coloring the town, and hear their stories. Visit the carvers' shed
where the art of carving and restoring totems is passed on. Explore the
area on foot or by kayak, keeping an eye out for bears, eagles, sea birds,
and whales.
Activities
Klawock Village, Carving Shed and Totem Pole Park Tour - Level 1. Learn
the local culture as native carvers train high school students in carving
and the restoration of the many older totem poles in town. Stroll Totem
Pole Park and admire the fully restored and striking 21 totem poles that
soar skyward. (included)
Day 4 - Baranof Island / Port Walter
An active day is in store on the smallest of Alaska's ABC islands. Take
to the water kayaking or snorkeling. Push your limits with a rigorous
hike in Alaskas back reaches to an enormous waterfall. And located
on the southeastern side of Baranof Island, explore the former herring
community of Port Walter, the rainiest place in all of Alaska.

Little Port Walter Half-Day Sport Fishing - Level 1. Fishing in Southeast
Alaska's wilderness waters is a dream for many. Combining skill and a
little bit of luck, you may reel in the big one! minimum of 6. ( $200
per person)
Kayak
into Big Port Walter - Level 3. Paddle the gorgeous six miles between
Little Port Walter and Big Port Walter, well-known herring and salmon
country, with an expert guide.(included)
Baranof Island Wilderness Hike - Level 2.
A wilderness trail through the untouched and remote beauty of Baranof
Island offers a vigorous hike in Alaskas beautiful back reaches.

Snorkeling - Level 1. Plunge into the cool,
blue Alaskan waters and get a whole new perspective. Dry suits and snorkeling
gear are provided. (included)
Kayak Racing - Level 2. Have you got what
it takes? Challenge your fellow passengers and cohorts to see who will
come out ahead. Activity Level 2 (Gold medal awaits at Level 3) (included)
Swimming Races and Platform Diving - Level
2 . Who will be the first one around the boat? Do you have superior diving
style? Only one way to tell and the crew knows just what to look
for. We estimate this to be an Activity Level 2, but you be the judge
go for the Gold! (included)
Day 5 - Patterson Bay / Deep Cove
Lush forest, spectacular views, 4000-foot vertical walls, and 2000-foot
waterfalls highlight Baranof Islands waterfall coast. View the Cliff
Lake waterfall in Deep Cove and slip into the waters of Patterson Bay
to explore by skiff or paddle a kayak keeping watch along the coastline
for birds, wolves, and black bears. Gear up for snorkeling or guided hikes
and challenge your shipmates to a rope swinging contest. This evening,
share your video footage on the lounge's flat screen TV, and toast another
day of amazing adventure with a cold microbrew or cocktail.
Activities
Patterson Bay Overnight Camping - Level 1. Listen to the sounds of whales
breeching from the comfort of your tent. You will be picked up by skiff
the following morning around 8am. Patterson Bay overnight camping, 6 person
minimum. ($150 per person)
Swimming Race and Platform Diving - Level
2. Who will be the first one around the boat? Do you have superior diving
style? Only one way to tell and the crew knows just what to look
for. For extra incentive, the Grand Prize winner will receive a prize
(think: complimentary massage). (included)
Day
6 - The Brothers Islands / Frederick Sound Whale Watching
Therell be plenty of wildlife viewing today. The Brothers, a pair
of islands in Frederick Sound, are home to some of Alaskas most
abundant wildlife and the area is the summer feeding ground for the largest
concentration of humpback whales in the Northern Hemisphere. Keep watch
for frolicking orca, humpbacks, and sea lions. Tonight well anchor
in Holkham Bay and listen for the song of the whales.
Activities
Whale Watching - Level 1. Little else compares to the glamour and wonder
of whales in their natural habitat. In the summer months, Frederick Sound
offers ample opportunities. (included)
Frederick Sound Kayaking - Level 2. Whether
you choose a guided, 5-mile trip or just an hour or so at your leisure,
Frederick Sound offers excellent opportunities for wildlife watching,
especially the loveable Stellar sea lions. (included)
Day
7 - Endicott Arm / Fords Terror Wilderness Area
Snow covered mountains, glowing blues, and the white thunder of calving
ice take your breath away at the face of Dawes Glacier. By kayak or by
skiff, as you glide through Endicott Arm youll likely find a few
seals taking respite on the glaciers smaller bergy bits. Tides
permitting, explore the narrow passage of Fords Terror and admire
the magnificent domes, hanging valleys, and pristine wilderness that surround
it. Back on board join the Captain for a farewell toast during dinner.
Activities
Dawes Glacier Kayaking - Level 1. Whether you choose a guided 6-hour or
1.5-hour trip, the magnificence of the Dawes Glacier will prove to be
a humbling experience. Keep an eye out for sea lions on the bergs. (included)
Fords Terror Skiff Excursion - Level
1. Wind through the smaller waters of Fords Terror where bears,
birds and other wildlife lie around every corner. Conditions permitting.

Day 8 - Juneau Disembark
Enjoy a Bon Voyage breakfast before disembarking the ship this morning.
Transfer directly to the Juneau airport or begin your add-on overnight
stay or extended land tour.
