Camping / Victoria Falls Victoria FallsThe Victoria Falls, near Livingstone is a dramatic scenic contrast and a change of pace from the reserves. The most spectacular views of Victoria Falls are from the Zambian side of the gorge and the area has a choice of good hotels and lodges. Activities include canoeing and river cruises on the tranquil Upper Zambezi above the falls and for the more adventurous, microlight flights over the gorge and white water rafting below the falls. The Zambezi has two characters - the wide gentle river above the Victoria Falls is the perfect place for languorous sunset boat cruises or gentle canoeing, whilst below the Falls, the more adventurous can enjoy serious white water rafting or jet-boating. The peak flow of the Zambezi is five times greater than the Colorado - this is a heart stopping Grade 5 ride! River rafting adventures range from a single day's grade 3-4 activity to a five day bush camping and rafting trip. To gain an overall impression of the Falls, the helicopter 'Flight of Angels' is essential. Microlight rides and bungee jumping are available for the truly daring. Zimbabwe is currently experiencing much political instability.
Currently our clients are going mainly to Victoria Falls which remains
trouble-free. However, we fervently hope that visitors will wish to visit
other areas of Zimbabwe in the future. Victoria Falls Explorer
