We proudly present our unique and exhilarating new tailor-made safari concept, Tanzania Under Canvas - Serengeti . Reaching far beyond the bounds of the traditional Tanzanian safari, we go where the animals are. Our tented, migratory camps will move around the Serengeti, year round, following directly in the footsteps of the animals.

During April and May, the Migration is generally to be found on the breathtakingly verdant short grass plains of the southern Serengeti. Experience the miracle of viewing tens of thousands newborn wildebeest calves. Sense heightened romance and sheer luxury in our tented wilderness camps, proudly featuring Tanzania's largest and most spacious mobile ensuite tents. Each tent comes with chic ensuite facilities, separate w.c.'s and romantic alfresco bucket showers. Complete with personalized private butler service, enjoy delicious Pan-African and traditional bush cuisine. Seronera - June and November

Day 01 & 02: Lake Manyara National Park
Upon your arrival at Arusha Airport you will be met by a representative for your scheduled flight to Manyara Airstrip. Daily flights depart at 08:00 and 14:30. At the airstrip you will be met by a representative from Lake Manyara Tree Lodge for your game-drive transfer of approximately 3 hours to the Lodge

Spend two nights at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Set in the heart of a mahogany forest on the remote south-western shores of Lake Manyara, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only camp in the small but incredibly diverse Lake Manyara National Park. The Park nestles at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and is known for its great beauty and wealth of wildlife – excellent for viewing elephant, tree-climbing lion, impressive herds of buffalo and wonderful birdlife. The Lodge comprises 10 stilted treehouses nestled in the boughs of mahogany trees, each with an outdoor shower, bath and double hand-basins. Intimate guest areas overlook a forest boma with an interactive kitchen where wholesome and delicious food is prepared in wood-fired ovens. The safari shop features signature community craftwork. Activities include interpretive morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles led by experienced guides and exceptional birdwatching – the area has over 400 species. Picnic lunches and romantic sundowners can be enjoyed on the lakeshore.

Day 03 & 04: Serengeti National Park, Seronera Area
Enjoy an early morning breakfast before your transfer to the airstrip where you board your scheduled flight to Seronera Airstrip. On arrival you will be met by a representative from Tanzania Under Canvas for your game-drive transfer to camp

Spend two nights at your Tanzania Under Canvas wilderness campsite. Accommodation is in a tent grandly furnished with en-suite double basin, w.c and open air shower. Your stay is on a full board basis including scheduled activities and park fees Activities include game-drives in the Serengeti National Park

Day 05 & 06: Serengeti National Park, Klein’s Concession
Enjoy an early morning breakfast before your game-drive transfer to the airstrip where you board your scheduled flight to Klein’s Camp. On arrival you will be met by a representative from Tanzania Under Canvas for your game-drive transfer to camp

Day 07 & 08: Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area
After breakfast enjoy a game-drive transfer to the airstrip where you board your scheduled flight to Manyara Airstrip. You will be met by a representative from Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for your road transfer of approximately 2 hours to camp

Spend two nights at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater at the eastern edge of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is without doubt one of the most architecturally spectacular lodges in Africa. The Crater is a World Heritage Site and shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth – some of Africa’s last black rhino are protected within its rim and black-maned lions stalk the grasslands. Inspired in design by the Maasai mud-and-stick manyatta, the Lodge comprises three separate and intimate camps, North Camp and South Camp (12 suites each) and Tree Camp (6 suites). The sumptuous suites are steeped in romance reminiscent of a bygone era, with stilted, handcrafted structures adorned in graceful antiques, grand chandeliers and Pan African treasures. All of this, however, remains subordinate to the magnificence of the verdant Crater views through the window of every room. Each suite is discreetly tended by a personal butler, who will bring you tea in bed, stoke your fireplace and even draw your bath, ready for your return from your safari and lavish picnic on the Crater floor. Guest areas include elegant sitting and dining areas, outdoor dining areas, viewing decks and a superb craft gallery, all with awe-inspiring views of the Crater below.
