The Okavango Camping Safari - (6 Days)

A safari for the traveler with limited time. A wonderful and relaxing experience for the nature lover. Around the camp fire at night, beneath the stars, listening to the calls of the wild... in the heart of the game country. Please note that itinerary is flexible and will depend on local conditions.

DAY 1: MAUN
We are welcomed at Maun airport by our guide and we transfer to a remote camp near Maun. An optional aerial flight over the Okavango Delta is possible in the late afternoon (payable locally). We relax around the camp fire in the evening, under the bright stars of the Southern hemisphere.

DAY 2/3: MAUN - OKAVANGO AREA OF MOREMI WILDLIFE RESERVE
The reserve is situated in the north-eastern corner of the Okavango Delta. It is a pure wilderness area of great beauty with rich, green vegetation, palm trees, teeming with birdlife and a vast population of wild animals. We spend our time exploring the reserve during game drives and boat explorations on the channels and lagoons. (All meals).

DAY 4/5: MOREMI WILDLIFE RESERVE
We travel to the Khwai flood plains and enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives. We have sufficient time to relax, read and unwind in this pure wilderness area of great beauty, rich in green vegetation, teaming with birdlife and a vast population of wild animals. All meals.

DAY 6: MOREMI - MAUN
We return to Maun and have lunch at a local restaurant (own expense). We transfer to the airport to board our onward flight. (Breakfast)

January to April departures: A green season itinerary may operate incorporating central Kalahari and Nxai Pan.

Serviced safari: No camp duties.
Accommodation: 6 nights camping in secluded bush camps in Botswana Reserves.
Meals: Prepared by the guide and cook, all meals when camping. Lunch not included on days 1 & 7.
Group size: 6-9 Participants or 10-16 (two vehicles travel together on certain departures).
Transfers: Airport transfers are provided in Maun on Day 1 and Day 6.
