Day 2/3: Etosha National Park / Okaukuejo. The Park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa . The pan itself is a vast shallow depression 139km by 50km. It is a ghostly white lake, dazzling with heat waves and mirages for most of the year. Thousands of wild animals such as blue wildebeest, springbok, zebra, kudu, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, lion, elephant, etc. are attracted to the area. We enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives and relax around the inviting pool during the midday heat. In the evenings the floodlit waterhole provides the opportunity to see some of the shy nocturnal wildlife at close quarters. (camping, all meals).

Day 5: Seal Colony – Cape Cross – Swakopmund. The large colony of Cape fur seals (+-80,000) at Cape Cross is a very impressive sight. Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere is surrounded by the Namib Desert and has many buildings and houses dating back to the German colonial era. Swakopmund bungalows.
