Stanley 10 Day Camping Safari

Following the footsteps of Dr David Livingstone’- A Comfort Mobile Safari in secluded, exclusive bush camps situated in the famous Botswana Reserves and National Parks. A safari crew pre-erects the comfortable camp. A professional safari guide conducts early morning and late afternoon game drives.

DAY 1: MAUN - OKAVANGO AREA OF MOREMI
A scenic charter flight from Maun takes us into Moremi where we are met by our guide for a short transfer to our pre-erected secluded bush camp. After a sunset game drive and a delicious three-course dinner, the sounds of the African night are enjoyed. Comfort Mobile Safari. (Dinner).

DAY 2: OKAVANGO AREA OF MOREMI
The channels and waterways of the Okavango Delta are explored on a mokoro excursion with lunch being enjoyed on an island. We make our way back to our camp with an afternoon game drive, taking in the changing colours of an African sunset. Comfort Mobile Safari. (All meals).

DAY 3/4: KHWAI AREA OF MOREMI
After breakfast, our safari crew expertly move our exclusive camp to the Khwai floodplains, while we continue to explore the reserve with our guide. Enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives, we uncover the secrets of this pristine wilderness area in search of the many species of animal and birdlife that make Moremi their home. Comfort Mobile Safari. (All meals).

DAY 5/6: SAVUTE - CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Continuing overland through the National Parks we visit the dry Savute Marsh and Savute channel, famous for its abundance of large predators. This amazing area and its waterholes are uncovered during our early morning and late afternoon game drives with our guide. Comfort Mobile Safari. (All meals).

DAY 7/8: CHOBE RIVER - CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
After 2 nights at the Savute Channel, we travel north and install our bush camp near the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets, with the largest elephant population in Africa living in the region. We may witness huge herds during our game drives and an unforgettable game viewing cruise on the Chobe River. Comfort Mobile Safari. (All meals).

DAY 9: LIVINGSTONE / VICTORIA FALLS
Our safari culminates at Livingstone/VictoriaFalls - without doubt one of the greatest and most unforgettable spectacles on earth. Time at leisure to enjoy the many optional activities on offer including scenic flights, micro lighting, elephant back riding etc. and a visit to the Falls (own expense). Natural Mystic Lodge (or similar accommodation). (Breakfast only, lunch& dinner own expense).

DAY 10: LIVINGSTONE / VICTORIA FALLS
After breakfast we transfer to the airport where the safari ends. (Breakfast only).

DAY 1: Livingstone/Victoria Falls (Hotel/Lodge accommodation- day at leisure)

DAY 2/3: Chobe National Park

DAY 4/5: Chobe National Park - Savute

DAY 6/7: Khwai area of Moremi

DAY 8/9: Okavango area of Moremi

DAY 10: Maun (lunch at own expense

GRADING - Comfort Mobile Safari: Secluded bush camps are used in the Botswana reserves. A safari team erects/ dismantles the camp and attends to all duties.

Accommodation: 8 nights dome tents furnished with 2 comfortable camp beds, linen, blankets, pillows, en-suite bathroom with warm shower and toilet. 1 night at the Natural Mystic Lodge (Livingstone) or similar.

Meals: All meals with table wine for dinner included while on safari. Breakfast only in Livingstone/Victoria Falls.

Group size: 2-7 clients per vehicle.(2 vehicles may travel together on certain departures)

Transfers: Airport transfers included in Maun & Livingstone/ VictoriaFalls day 1 and day 10.

A scenic flight transfer is included from Maun to our camp in Moremi on day 1 (NB. baggage limit 10kg in soft bag).

What to expect on a Comfort Mobile Safari: To experience the real wilderness of Botswana on a mobile camping safari, without losing the comfort of a camp bed with linen and the convenience of an en-suite bathroom, then this is the perfect concept for you. Exclusive campsites give the feeling of seclusion in the vast, untamed wilderness. Relax in camp with a sundowner while the crew prepare and serve delicious ‘bush cuisine’ dinners, served on a candlelit table beneath a canopy of stars. Thereafter, retire to your comfortable and spacious en-suite dome tent for a peaceful night’s sleep in preparation for the next days early morning game drive – and the chance of sighting some of the nocturnal animals whose calls were heard during the night. Game drives and excursions are led by your experienced and informative guide in vehicles specially adapted to the conditions of the safari.

VEHICLES: Open sided 4x4 Toyota landcruiser ideal for game viewing.· Fridges and battery charging facilities on all vehicles.

STAFF: Guide, chef, and 2-4 camp staff.
