DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG - KRUGER NATIONAL
PARK
Departing after breakfast, we drive through the scenic province
of Mpumalanga arriving in the early afternoon
at the famous wildlife sanctuary of the Kruger National Park. The
largest game reserve in South Africa stretches
north to south over approximately 500km and is home to the Big
Five as well as numerous other species
of fauna and flora. We enjoy our first game drive in the late afternoon.
Overnight Kruger restcamp or similar.
(Accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis).
DAY 2/ 3: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Early morning and late afternoon game drives are undertaken in search
of the numerous animals inhabiting
the Park. Optional night drive or game walk (own expense). Overnight
Kruger restcamp or similar.

DAY 4: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK - JOHANNESBURG - FLY TO CAPE TOWN
We exit the Park after breakfast arriving back in Johannesburg early
afternoon for our onward flight to Cape
Town (flight additional cost). Arriving in Cape Town the evening
is free to explore the vibrant Waterfront from
our well-situated Waterfront hotel. Set against the majestic Table
Mountain, Cape Town offers scenic, historic
and cultural attractions. Overnight City Lodge V&A Waterfront
or similar. (Accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis).
DAY 5: CAPE TOWN
The following morning we depart after breakfast for a full day peninsula
tour. Driving along the Atlantic seaboard
via Hout Bay and Chapmans Peak, we visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve,
returning to our hotel via Boulders Penguin
Colony and the Indian Ocean coastline. A morning or afternoon cable
car ascent up Table Mountain is included (weather
dependent). Dinners can be enjoyed at the bustling Waterfront at
clients own expense. Overnight City Lodge V&A Waterfront
or similar. (Accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis).
DAY 6/ 7: GARDEN ROUTE (KNYSNA)
Departing Cape Town, we explore the famous Garden Route, an area
of lush vegetation and abundant
waterways bordering the coastal strip between the forests of the
Tsitsikamma and the winelands of the Western
Cape. A full day is available to browse the charming town of Knysna
or a variety of optional activities are
available in this area including whale watching (July to November)
or a sunset boat cruise (own expense).
Overnight Knysna Hollow or similar. (Accommodation on a bed &
breakfast basis).
DAY 8: OUDTSHOORN
Heading inland to Oudtshoorn via the Outeniqua Pass, we enjoy fascinating
guided tours of an Ostrich Farm and
the famous Cango Caves. Overnight Protea Riempie or similar. (Accommodation
on a bed & breakfast basis).
DAY 9: WINE ROUTE (STELLENBOSCH)
Our journey takes us through a picturesque fruit and wine-growing
valley known as the longest wine route in
the world, Route 62. We visit 2 wine farms for wine
tasting and explore the charming town of Stellenbosch.
Overnight Protea Devon Valley Hotel or similar. (Accommodation on
a bed & breakfast basis).
DAY 10: CAPE TOWN
Departing the winelands after breakfast, we make our way back to
Cape Town ending the tour at the City
Lodge V&A Waterfront. Post tour accommodation and/ or airport
transfers can be arranged with pre-payment.
(Breakfast only).
This itinerary will depend on local conditions.
Accommodation: 9 nights restcamps
and small hotels.
Meals: Breakfast throughout. Lunches and dinners own expense.
Group Size: 2-10 participants.
Transfers: 1night pre-tour accommodation in Johannesburg
and return airport transfers may be pre-booked.
Note: This tour can be operated
on a private basis with minimum 6 participants and will be dependent
on availability of vehicle and accommodation. (On a private basis,
larger groups possible on request)
