Day 17 In Mumbai-Kochi
Afternoon, departure transfer to airport to board flight to Kochi. Assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel.

Afternoon half day sightseeing tour of Kochi (Cochin) – an important port city with a famous Jewish settlement and Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, the Chinese Nets, the Church of St Francis and the Tomb of Vasco da Gama. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 18 Kochi- Periyar
After breakfast, depart by surface to Thekkady. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Thekkady is a popular hill station and a wildlife centre. This town, which is an important plantation centre, conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. Periyar Forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves of India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold immense opportunities for treks and mountain walks. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary offers a fairly good chance of seeing the great Indian tiger in its natural habitat. Afternoon visit the local spice market and explore the Kumily Market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 19 Periyar- Kumarakom-Houseboat
Early morning take game viewing boat-ride on the artificial Periyar Lake for wildlife watching. After breakfast depart by surface to Kumarakom to embark on a Houseboat and cruise thru the Backwater. Alappuzha voyaging in the narrow canals between the wide range of green rice paddies and the peaceful villages en wrapped with coconut trees. Travelers can perceive the flashes of toddy taping (natural soma), traditional techniques of the shellfish gathering, village walk, and the flocks of cormorant, egret, herons, four species of moor hens, water ducks, Purple herons, seagulls, teals, and the different types of king fishers. Overnight on board Houseboat.

Day 20 Houseboat- Alleppey- Kochi -Mumbai
Morning after breakfast, disembark from the House Boat at Alleppey and transfer to Kochi airport to board flight to Mumbai. Assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to short sightseeing tour of Mumbai city visiting Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Mondays), Fish Aquarium, Jain Temples, Hanging Gardens on the slopes of Malabar Hills offering nice view of Marine Lines and Chowpatty Beach, Kamla Nehru Park and Marine drive.

Later in time departure transfer to International airport to board flight back to home.

Day 21 Depart Mumbai

END OF THE TOUR. CHECK-IN/OUT AT THE HOTELS IS 12 NOON
