Day 1 – Depart New York on South African
Airways flight to Cape Town via Johannesburg.
Day
2 – Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you
will be met and transferred to The City Lodge Victoria & Alfred
Waterfront Hotel. Accommodations for four nights inclusive of
breakfast daily.
Day 3 – Breakfast at the hotel. Today
choose one of two half-day tours:
Cape Town City Tour (excludes Table Mountain & lunch) or the
Walk to Freedom Tour (excludes lunch).
Day 4 – Breakfast at the hotel. Choose between a Full
Day Tour of the Winelands, a Tour of the Cape Peninsula or the
Walk to Freedom Tour which includes a 3-hour cruise and tour of
Robben Island.
Day 5 – Breakfast at the hotel followed
by a full day at leisure to explore the scenic beauty and historic
sights of Cape Town.
Day 6 – After breakfast, transfer
to Cape Town Airport. Fly to Johannesburg and connect on to Kruger
Mpumalanga International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met
and transferred to your Kruger Park Safari Camp. Pretoriuskop
captures the spirit of Africa's past, the first camp to open within
the then Sabie Sands game reserve in 1929; Pretoriuskop was originally
a stop over for the traders trekking inland from the coast to
the newly discovered goldfields. Steeped in history, The Kruger
Safari & Adventure Company have selected Pretoriuskop as its
operational base within the Park. Situated in a prime "Big
Five" game viewing area, the camp is conveniently situated
for transfers from both Kruger-Mpumalanga Airport and Hazyview,
gateway to Kruger Park. We have our own resident game ranger,
who personally conducts many of the game activities and safaris,
assists clients while in camp and is also on 24hr emergency duty.
Accommodation is in comfortably appointed cottages
that have been decorated to capture the spirit of early days of
the Park. All cottages have en-suite bathrooms (shower only),
air-conditioning/heater, kitchenette facilities and a small fridge.
Facilities in Pretoriuskop include a restaurant, convenience store
with a curio/bookshop section, filling station, launderette and
swimming pool. An interpretive center and self guided trail within
the camp adds to the overall game experience.
In the afternoon you will depart on your first
exciting open vehicle safari. You will be thrilled by close encounters
with Africa's wildlife, from the prettiest antelope to those gentle
giants of the bush elephant, as your experienced ranger imparts
his knowledge of Africa's wildlife.
Accommodations for two nights inclusive of breakfast
and dinner daily as well as all game viewing activities.
Day
7 – Breakfast is followed by a
full day of game drives. The animals are most active early in
the morning and late in the afternoon. We recommend that you enjoy
an early morning safari, noon siesta and an afternoon safari.
Return to the camp for dinner.
Day 8 – Breakfast at the camp. Today
transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for your flight back to
Johannesburg. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to
The City Lodge Morningside. Accommodations
for two nights inclusive of breakfast daily.
Day
9 – Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy one of several
half-day tours: Johannesburg City Tour (afternoon departures only),
Soweto Tour (morning departures only), Gold Reef City Tour, or
Pretoria City Tour.
Day 10 – Breakfast at the hotel. This
afternoon you will be transferred to Johannesburg International
Airport for your flight back to the USA aboard South African Airways.
Day 11 – Arrive home
