Captivating Cape Town, Safari Splendors & a Glimpse of Johannesburg - 11 days / 8 nights

Day 1 – Depart New York on South African Airways flight to Cape Town via Johannesburg.

Day 2 – Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met and transferred to the Protea Sea Point Hotel. Accommodations in a standard room for 4 nights. Breakfast included.

From when one walks into the Foyer area of the hotel, you can feel and see the uniqueness of the Hotel. There are small hints of South African Art everywhere to tantalize your senses. Think about art in a hotel room - and you'll probably picture it on a canves, right? Well, not if you have booked into one of the six Protea Hotel Sea Point luxury "Art" suites that have been designed and decorated by selected South African artists, taking on the genre of each artist. It's a complete novelty for GUESTS who yearn for luxury with a bit of a twist - an absolute delight for both local and international travelers.

Day 3 – Breakfast at the hotel. Today choose one of two half-day tours: Cape Town City Tour (excludes Table Mountain & lunch) or the Walk to Freedom Tour (excludes lunch).

Day 4 – Breakfast at the hotel. Choose between a full Day Tour of the Winelands, a Tour of the Cape Peninsula, or the Walk to Freedom tour which includes a 3-hour cruise and tour of Robben Island.

Day 5 – Breakfast at the hotel followed by a full day at leisure to explore the scenic beauty and historic sights of Cape Town.

Day 6 – Today you will be met by a representative for your transfer to Cape Town Airport by scheduled vehicle. Scheduled South African Airways flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Scheduled South African Express flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit. On arrival you will be met by a Representative and transferred to Tanda Tula. Accommodations are in a Standard tent for 2 nights. All meals, daily activities and local drinks included.

Tanda Tula Bush Camp is situated on 20 000 acres of bushveld in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Guests are accommodated in 12 superbly appointed East Africa style tents each with en suite bathroom plus an outdoor shower and private patio overlooking the riverbed. Enjoy exciting dawn and dusk safaris in open Landrovers, and on foot, with professional game rangers and trackers. With a limited number of game-viewing vehicles, and no fences between the Kruger Park and Timbavati, the words 'private', secluded' and 'tranquil' best describe the Tanda Tula experience. Delicious meals are served in the dining room or in the open boma around a fire. The lounge and swimming pool overlook a waterhole where animals come to drink throughout the day and night. Guests can relax at the pool, game spot from the viewing hides or simply enjoy the serenity and sounds of the African bush.

Day 7 – Tanda Tula Camp.

Day 8 – After one final game drive and breakfast you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to The Balalaika Crown Court Hotel. Accommodations for two nights inclusive of breakfast daily.

Day 9 – Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy one of several half-day tours: Johannesburg City Tour (afternoon departures only), Soweto Tour (morning departures only), Gold Reef City Tour, or Pretoria City Tour.

Day 10 – Breakfast at the hotel. This afternoon you will be transferred to Johannesburg International Airport for your flight back to the USA aboard South African Airways.

Day 11 – Arrive home
